The Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development's (OECD) Governing Complex Education Systems project organised a conference on Effective Governance from the Centre on 21-22 November 2011. The conference was hosted by the Dutch Ministry for Education Science and Technology in the Hague, Netherlands.
Three EIPPEE partners attended the conference and discussed issues including: the role of knowledge in governing complex systems in education; the role of governance in knowledge creation, dissemination and utilisation in education policy; and central government strategies for affective knowledge systems that support the governance of complex educational systems.
Outcomes from this conference will be further elaborated in the ongoing work of the project and will be presented in the final conference due to take place in Autumn 2012.
